About David Wilkerson
David Wilkerson has been one of the most respected Pentecostal ministers of the last half of the 20th century. In his book Cross and the Switchblade he gripped the heart of Evangelical America with a passion for lost souls and a vision for reaching the unreachable. Such a message reflects the very heart beat of Christ. If you love David Wilkerson as so many others do than the message of this page will stun you beyond all belief. We have documented evidence and inside information that you can look into for yourself. I discovered these facts only because my son spent two years at David Wilkerson’s Mount Zion School of Ministry. When I wrote to David Wilkerson about my concerns he would initially not respond. Finally, upon responding he would not allow my son to return and fulfill his required internship at Mount Zion. How could this be? We discovered that the predominate message that the leadership (President) put forward at David's Mount Zion School of ministry was based upon the early teachings and spiritually of Hannah Hurnard, the author of Hinds’ Feet on High Places. My son relates how that President Catherine described Hinds' Feet as an inspired writing as she used it for the Chapel devotional. Hinds’ Feet certainly has some serious problems. However, more shocking is the documented fact that Hannah, by her own admission, totally rejected the Gospel of Salvation and Fundamental faith. Hannah later fell even further and put forward: Hyper Necromancy, Hyper Pantheism, Universalism, Western Mysticism, and much much more.I informed Dave about these problems and he haughtily discounted my concerns as personal "pet peeves." (His letter is attached to my "Hungry for More of Jesus" book review.) I subsequently read Dave's writings more carefully and discovered that Dave himself stands in agreement with some of Hannah’s anti-Gospel teachings. (Documentation Attached) Perhaps this is why he would not examine the balance of her heresy? What does it mean when the writings or teachings of a New Age sorceress are incorporated into Pentecostal Bible College? What can we deduce when the founder of that Bible College refuses to address a wrong but rather expels (disallowed internship) the son of the man who pleads for Biblical truth? These assertions are not idle slander but literally a cry from the wilderness. Could David Wilkerson also be numbered among the fallen? You will have to consider the evidence for your self. When we remember how many other great men have slipped, we should also fear for our own personal salvation and set the guard of Scripture upon our minds and souls. If you follow this link you will find a more complete accounting of what was seen at David Wilkerson’s Mount Zion School of Ministry. You will also find book reviews about Hannah Hurnard’s writing’s and at least one review of Dave's books! A final word: Dave was once known as a "Bible Waving Preacher". Today, Dave has laid aside his Bible and has taken to waving lawsuits. He is so embarrassed by this page (he should be) that his lawyers are threatening court action. I recall that Jesus strictly forbade a legal response. Alas, Dave has cast aside the commands of Christ and uses (ministry monies? or his own?) filthy lucre to finance his legal hit squad to try to intimidate men that contend for the truth. We promise to post a transcript of the legal proceedings if and when they have concluded. Remember that during the dark ages the rich and powerful church persecuted and prosecuted simple men who spoke out against false theology. The true ministers of Christ were jailed, strangled, racked, burned and perused throughout Europe. Today, Dave emerges with the old spirit of a dark-age Romanist! Rather than moving in the power of prayer and the Holy Ghost he looks to the power of the "secular beast" (Reformer's Language) to succor his smarting pride and to secure his at risk money flow. Christ's choosiest blessings upon you all! |
