The following documents are not an attack on your faith or local Church. After all, the ministers and members of the Church of God are some of the finest Christians on this side of Glory. However, when enemies sneak in among us, God ordains watchmen and faithful overseers to cry against sin and warn His people. This page is such a warning and will reveal some shocking things that are presently being taught at Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee. This warning is being posted to save your future offspring and ministry. If this sin goes unchecked, millions of born and unborn souls will be lost through an old trick of Satan. You are now the only people on earth that can effect a change in this situation. God is looking for those that will stand in the gap in this hour of distress! Those who idly do nothing become co-conspirators in Satan's scheme!

Would you believe that a Full Gospel, Pentecostal University is teaching FAITHLESS MODERNISM? This is ABSOLUTELY the case at Lee University. All Theology majors are required to sit under Dr. Bowdle and soak in his "Neology" of doubt. My oldest son Philip was constantly shocked by his anti-Pentecostal teaching while at Lee University. Furthermore, in just one day (which I have on tape) Dr. Bowdle taught three major heresies. On that single occasion he denied the verbal inspiration of Scripture by calling it merely "good literature." He also denied the miraculous power of prayer by saying, "Prayer does change things. It changes the way I look at circumstances. It doesn't change the circumstances." Finally he opposed the holiness of God when he said, "I can't change God's mind by how good I live or how bad I live."

This is only a little of what goes on at Lee University. Even more shocking is the facts that about 38 top officials of the Church of God know and have my tape. Yet, no change or outcry has been forthcoming. Some well-known Church of God ministers have openly stood with Dr. Bowdle, while most have either joined a conspiracy of silence or have been intimidated into submission. The inaction of these mute prophets remains a mystery. Nevertheless, we find ourselves in the classic situation in which leaders say one thing and do quite another. The good news is that you are warned!

You Can Attend A Theology Class at Lee!

First, we have attached a partial transcript of just one of Dr. Bowdle's Theology Classes. Remember that this class is required for all Bible and Theology majors. Dr. Bowdle contradicts the teachings of the Church of God and the doctrine that Lee University claims it puts forward. Lee's doctrinal position is documented in their catalogue and yet they will not implement their stated positions. They are willfully and knowingly engaging in GRAND FRAUD! They are swindling each theology student out of multiplied thousands of dollars by their false advertising!

My letter to the heads of the Church of God

About 38 leaders of the Church of God were given this letter and a tape of the class that is transcribed above. Unfortunately, no real action was taken. How could these men set aside the teachings of the Church of God? Do they love man more than God? In past generations other great denominations followed the same road to oblivion. Unquestionable, some top officials of the Church of God need to be replaced with faithful stewards. This must be done at the next General Assembly!

President Conn's Reply to Me

President Conn's response to my letter demonstrates that he is made of the same stuff as Dr. Bowdle. He certainly supports him and his false Theology. Dr. Conn seems to have lost his Pentecostal faith during his Methodist training. (Surly not at Lee?) How many other Church of God leaders have been corrupted by Modernist schooling? Notice, I once sat in a Methodist ministerial class and heard them laughing at Bible believing ministers. I would not compromise my salvation and never returned again. Later, the Methodist superintendent glibly responded to my complaint by saying, "So, I see your not comfortable being a Methodist."

Why would the President of a Pentecostal University support those who deny the inspiration of Scripture and power of prayer? While discussing theology with a late Missionary, I was informed that, "A snake always returns to his hole." Others have made the same point by saying that water never rises above its source. Thus, the school where we study sets the course for our life and imparts a good or bad vision and spirit. Dr. Conn's postgraduate alma mater (beloved mother) was the infamous Emory University of Atlanta; the birthplace and defender of the "God is Dead" heresy. Emory continues to support other ultra-liberal and anti-Biblical causes. Check out the "God is Dead" page at Emory.

Any college degree that is gained through compromise, manifests the approval of Satan and not of God. Romans 1 describes people who desert Scripture and truth. These have, "changed the truth of God (Scripture) into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature (themselves) more than the Creator . . . For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections. . ." Remember, when Christians deny Scripture they are in danger of coming under a unique curse from God!

The General Overseer's response to my letter.

How could the Overseer of the Church of God allow this situation to continue? After reviewing the background of the General Overseer, I do not foresee a positive change during his administration. His higher education was non-Pentecostal and anti-Evangelical! He received a B.A. degree from Presbyterian College, Clinton, South Carolina. Unfortunately, the Overseer’s Presbyterian learning might be the good news. Next, he received his M.Div. degree from Candler School of Theology, Emery University. (Methodist) One year later the press uncovered the ripening "God is Dead" heresy. After Emery was exposed, it refused to give up and fired full bore in favor of academic freedom over truth. Today, certain leaders in the Church of God are following the example of their Methodist mentors.

Speak to your Pastor and encourage him to cast his vote against the compromises. Tell him you expect action and not rhetoric! Remember that the Lee College situation has existed for over 30 years and will not easily be undone. Some leaders will have to be unseated! We must all work together and spread the word. This is certainly God’s will and you are his hands! Don’t allow Satan to steal your church and later turn it into a stronghold for his kingdom. One Methodist monstrosity is far too many.

Philip's Letter to the Heads of the Church of God.

Philip relates additional shocking information and tells the leaders of the Church of God of his experience at Lee University. Alas, prospective students are promised one thing and given another. Think twice before you enroll, waste your money and pollute your faith. God certainly has a better place for you. According to Charisma (Oct. 97, p. 85) Lee University has a 30% graduation rate. Therefore, many hopeful people are losing their money and time. Philip was denied a diploma because he would not compromise his Pentecostal faith. Will you?

An Official Responds To Philip's Letter

You can see in this letter that some people honor man more than God's Word. How have the mighty fallen? Do men like this deserve your support? They truly do not reflect the philosophy of Scripture, nor the membership of the Church of God. These have become like the Gospel rejecting doctors of Jesus' day. Consider that the author the attached letter has now moved into the top position in the Church of God International School of Theology.
